Guidelines for Applying for a Tourist Visa

TOURIST VISA

     A. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Completed visa application form: https://vutconsulate.org/tourist-visa-form/
  2. Notarized copy of a valid passport (with at least 6 months’ validity remaining).
  3. Receipt of the non-refundable processing fee and visa issuance fee payable to the Consulate – 2,500,000 VND.
  4. Round-trip air ticket or proof of other means of transportation (showing departure from Vanuatu within 120 days from the date of entry).
  5. Hotel booking confirmation.
  6. Proof of financial capacity/income: Bank statements for the last 2 months, stamped by the bank, showing a cash flow of approximately 12,000,000 – 15,000,000 VND per month. For self-employed applicants who do not receive salary through a bank account, a savings book or deposit statement must be provided, demonstrating sufficient financial capacity for at least the last 2 months.
  7. Two (02) recent photographs, size 3×4 cm, with white background.

 Note: Applicants traveling by cruise are not required to submit hotel booking confirmation (item 5). Instead, they must provide the travel itinerary showing Vanuatu as one of the destinations and confirmation of the cruise booking as required in item 4.

  B. VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Step 1

+ Complete the visa application form (link: https://vutconsulate.org/tourist-visa-form/)
 Note: Please fill out the form in BLOCK LETTERS and in English, except for the email address.
For Item 33: Kindly provide information about the individual or organization you are currently working for. In case of emergency, we may contact your reference.

+ Prepare all required documents listed in Section A.

Step 2
Submit the complete application online via email: info@vutconsulate.org.
After submission, please wait for a response from the Consulate staff. We will provide further instructions if any information is found to be inaccurate. Processing time is approximately 3–5 working days.
If you do not receive a reply within this period, your email may have been filtered into the spam folder. In that case, kindly contact us at 028 3636 5646. If you still have not received a response after 3–5 working days, please follow up directly.

Step 3
Once Step 2 is completed, you will be required to pay the fee of 2,500,000 VND and submit the hard copy of your application to the Consulate office (the fee can be paid either in cash directly at the office or via bank transfer; the hard copy may be submitted in person or sent by post). Do not pay the fee until you receive confirmation from the Consulate.

The processing time for a tourist visa is 3–5 working days from the date the Consulate receives your hard copy application. The total processing time for a tourist visa is approximately 7–15 working days, including the review of documents submitted online.

Important Note: If the applicant is a student/child under 18 years of age, he/she must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. For Item 29 of the application form, please ensure that the guardian provides all required information. Additionally, regarding proof of financial capacity, applicants under 18 must be financially guaranteed by their parent or legal guardian.
