In his welcome speech, Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, reviewed the historical milestones of the Vietnamese people, emphasizing 78 years ago, under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party. Chairman Phan Van Mai said that in the first 8 months of 2023, the socio-economic situation of Ho Chi Minh City has improved; Industrial production increased by 2.8%, trade and service revenue increased by 7.6%, foreign direct investment attraction reached 1.97 billion USD (the highest in the country); Cultural, social and foreign affairs activities take place vibrantly; National defense and security are guaranteed.
